Open Data Manchester is a meetup for all people who are interested in making data open for the benefit of citizens, businesses and public bodies alike. The meetings are mix of presentation, conversation and sharing of tips, hacks and data.

The event is an open forum and free.

Trams, Trains and Buses

This month we have a bit of a transport theme going on.

Dave Busby (Integrated Transport Systems Manager ) and Craig Berry (Information Manager) from TfGM will be providing an update on the release of transport datasets including real-time. So we hope to see some updates on the Trams, CentreLine and Road Traffic Collisions.

Also we have Nathan Day from Rockshore who is working on the National Rail Data Feeds service which is currently in beta and due for public launch at the end of June. The data available includes Train Movements, Train Describers, RTPPM, VSTP, TSR, Timetable.
Nathan will give an overview of the data, the API and what it all means.

And if that wasn’t enough Traveline’s Nextbuses API has just been made public.

Don’t forget that there is a Government Open Standards consultation taking place before our event Open Standards Consultation
