Good for Nothing is a community of smart folk, collaborating and experimenting to solve stuff that matters.
They’re kicking off the first Northern chapter at MadLab this weekend with a 48 hour design/code/make/do hackathon in support of three great local causes.
Good for Nothing is about collaboration and experimentation. There’s no hierarchy, no rules, and none of that stuff that sometimes gets in the way during the 9 to 5. It’s about making stuff like you used to when you were a kid, and using that energy to help some truly brilliant social innovators do what they do.
Expect great people, music and food, and the massive buzz of making a whole lot of tangible things in a single weekend.
Developers, designers, strategists, thinkers – people who make stuff – are all welcome. Come along, bring your tools (laptops, pens, crayons, whatever you need to work your magic) and muck in.
The event starts at 6pm on Friday with some introductions and briefing for the weekend ahead, then runs from around 9:30 to 5:30 on Saturday and Sunday.
